Pendant Luminaire

Spingere is a cord suspended lamp that uses dynamic LED media for illumination. It provides exceptional light quality with no flicker, complete digital dimming, and high color rendering. Easily controlled over Wi-Fi from any browser, it can display both static and moving content. Dynamic media is composed so the overall light output stays constant and the patterns loops seamlessly.

It can be made blazingly bright for task lighting, or dimmed down to candlelight level while maintaining a full dynamic range for content.

Spingere's shape is reminiscent of the classic spun metal pendant, only the center volume where the bulb used to go now houses a small computer, and the shade is made of 32 gently curving, luminous blades. The form is held in equilibrium by the internal stresses of its flexible materials - raw kapton and fiberglass circuits, and an outer aluminum hoop. The lightweight and functionally driven design is both biological and industrial.
